We offer live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, featuring Mark Johnstone.  On Saturday evenings, Mark performs along with one of his close musician friends like John Zangrando on saxophone, Marcus Johnson on upright bass, or pop/soul vocalist Dirt Mansion.

 

Mark is a multi-instrumentalist who started learning the piano at the age of four and studied jazz and classical piano for many years including at the Berklee College of Music.   He specializes in jazz standards and the Great American Songbook but is also accomplished in funk, blues, soul, Latin, and rock.  He is a member of the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band and has toured the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand with Mick Fleetwood.   He was the keyboardist on Fleetwood’s 2009 album, Blue Again, which received a Grammy nomination in the Best Traditional Blues Album category.

 

Mark has enjoyed the Maui lifestyle since 2001 and has been playing at Capische for more than eight years.  His musical prowess adds to the magic of the Capische experience.  Come and spend an evening with him.
